“Just wanted to thank you Russ, for the advice you have provided so far. I’ve made some small but critical adjustments to my game, and it’s really helped keep me ahead of my friends and winning money. You have helped me to size my bets appropriately, and most importantly helped turn me into more of a pot architect. I’m in the mindset now of thinking a few moves ahead, and so I build the pot appropriately. You are 100% right in saying that Pot Limit is the most skillful way to play. I’ve started following through on the river with larger bets if I feel my opponent has been chasing, and I’ve coupled this with larger river bets in general...so it’s no longer a large bet = a bad hand and a small one = good. This has opened up bluffing more to me, because people get tired of looking foolish calling off large bets on the end with bad hands. The speed of my play has increased as well, which is just another bonus. Speed is now just another weapon in my arsenal. I’m playing power poker now; the pot gets big quickly and if you don't have the goods watch out! These are some quotes from the people I play with regularly: "I don't feel comfortable playing heads-up against you." "You cause people to lose a lot of money." "I've never lost so much money so fast." "You make your decisions so fast." "There is no such thing as a friendly game when he sits at the table."
